Irrespective of vaccination status, anyone flying into Switzerland from Portugal from today must present a negative test for SARS-CoV-2 infection and complete a 10-day period of quarantine. The decision follows Swiss authorities’ classification of Portugal – one of the most ‘vaccine protection countries in the world’ – as a country with ‘variants of concern’, namely Omicron.
