The exodus of Portuguese workers to Switzerland continues unabated with more than 15,000 people flooding into the country desperate for work since 2012. Talking to Swiss newspaper La Liberté, Portuguese priest Henrique Januário working in Switzerland said the majority of Portuguese had to accept minimum wages and work was scarce. “But they are too ashamed to go back home”, he said.
