Algarve golf pro Ricardo Santos produced another highly satisfactory performance at the Rolex Trophy in Geneva to maintain his PGA European Challenge Tour top ranking.

The 29-year-old followed his opening par 72 with rounds of 69, 65 and 71 for a joint seventh place at the €218,000 tournament.

“Another top-ten finish which gives me important ranking points”, said Santos, who is already guaranteed a place on the main tour next season, afterwards.

Closer to home Antonio Sobrinho secured his second PGA Portugal Pro-Am Series title at Quinta do Lago’s South Course while both Castro Marim’s Quinta do Vale and Baixa Guadiana Golf Association’s teams qualified for the Allgarve Masters Series national finals to be held on Vilamoura’s Vila Sol course at the beginning of October.
