Further sad news from the weekend’s sporting front. After the death of a runner in the Lisbon half marathon on Sunday, the Challenge Lisbon triathlon organisation announced that one of the participants in its swimming challenge on Saturday has died in hospital. The man was rescued from the waters and revived in the event’s medical tent, before being ‘rushed to hospital’. But tragically he died later.
