Suspicious soya

DESPITE A ban on the importation and sale of soya products from China being implemented on December 3, many items containing this ingredient were still on sale across Portugal.

On the following day, Portugal’s food standards agency ASAE had still not received any notification of this new EU ruling.

“ASAE has not yet received a notification from the EU, but when we do, we will act accordingly,” said a spokesman for the secretary of state of Commerce, Services and Defence.
