A LISBON court ordered the suspension of construction in Costa Terra, a development being built in the Grândola district on the Alentejo coast.
The order follows a complaint from environmental organisations, Quercus and Geota, which wanted to preserve several threatened species of flowers and bushes.
Costa Terra had been approved by the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Environment.
The Grândola Câmara has already announced its intention of appealing against the court’s decision, as has the Ministry of the Environment.
