Four people of North African origin were arrested by PSP police on November 23 after a tip-off from a member of the public that a coffee shop was being burgled.
According to a statement from Faro’s PSP commander Vitor Rodrigues, the suspects were detained after a
car chase with the police in Portimão.
The PSP seized several stolen items from the vehicle, including an LCD television as well as screwdrivers and gloves.
Vitor Rodrigues added: “The PSP hopes that these arrests will contribute to the resolution of this problem that has so
worried this tourist sensitive area.”
