Two men were arrested by the Polícia Judiciária last week in connection with the robbery and assault of a foreign couple, who were holidaying in a villa in Santa Bárbara de Nexe last February.
The two used physical violence to tie up the couple and then made off with a computer, credit cards, cash and jewellery, fleeing the scene in the victims’ rental car. The suspects, aged 20 and 23, were arrested on May 8 in Porches, Lagoa, and were due to appear in court on May 16 after the Algarve Resident went to press.
