The only suspect in the case of missing Madeleine McCann remains on tenterhooks as the investigation continues.
Despite three weeks of intensive investigation Robert Murat remains the only official suspect in connection with Madeleine’s disappearance.
The police in Portugal issued a description of a man being sought, who may have been carrying a child on the night that Madeleine disappeared, close to the resort where the McCanns were spending their holiday time.
Mr Murat has said that issuing the vague description (Caucasian male, between 35 and 40 years of age and approx 1.6-1.7m tall) has done absolutely nothing to clear his name. Mr Murat has always claimed that he is guilty of nothing at all in connection with what is now positvely considered to be an abduction case.
