Martinhal Beach Resort & Hotel has a special night in store for sushi lovers on March 29.
Its prestigious ‘O Terraço’ restaurant will be receiving Portuguese Chef and Japanese cuisine enthusiast Pedro Almeida, who will be preparing a sushi dinner accompanied by Japanese beers, two of which are produced exclusively for the Chef’s Midori restaurant.
The menu includes a variety of sushi dishes, including tuna and onion nigiri, turkey wing karaage, and oyster sashimi. For dessert, the Chef will make a Japanese tangerine pannacota, with yuzu, calamansi and bergamot orange.
Prices for the dinner, which begins at 8pm, vary between €75 for the general public and €40 for hotel guests on half-board.
Chef Pedro Almeida is the head chef of the Midori restaurant at Penha Longa resort, which carries a variety of Portuguese-Japanese fusion dishes. He was also a major player in the opening of MOMO restaurant at Lisbon Casino.
