Susan Boyle’s debut album I Dreamed a Dream has set a record for the highest first-day sales of the year.
The Britain’s Got Talent runner up’s debut offering sold more than 130,000 copies on November 23 and is now outselling the rest of the week’s top five albums.
I Dreamed a Dream also became the fastest selling album of the year.
Susan Boyle, 48, shot to fame after an outstanding performance of I Dreamed a Dream in front of the judges of Britain’s Got Talent.
Her debut single, Wild Horses, a cover of the Rolling Stones hit, is also expected to get into the top 10 this week.
