Little is known about Lisbon’s surprise naked motorbike rider who raised eyebrows over the weekend as he sped down Avenida de Liberdade in his altogether (click here).
Wearing just a pair of black biking gloves, a strange red bird-type of covering over his helmet and some Havaiana flip flops, the young man may have been a straggler from World Naked Bike Ride, mused some, which was celebrated last Thursday.
World Naked Bike Ride began in 2003, originally as an artists’ protest against war. It has since moved on to promote awareness of the vulnerability of cyclists, and climate change.
Reports of this apparently isolated incident in Lisbon are uncertain whether it was a stunt in support of World Naked Bike Ride, or just a moment of madness.
