The event, held in the partnership with the Municipality of Silves, will take place online on May 27 at 6pm.

Topics on the agenda include the presentation of the UK Nationals Support Fund project and general information on residency rights in Portugal. There will also be time for a question and answer session.

About the UK Nationals Support Fund project
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Portugal, through the UK Nationals Support Fund (UKNSF) project, is providing support to at-risk UK nationals and their family members who were living in Portugal prior to 2021, to complete their residency applications and/or to apply for the new residence card in Portugal now that the UK has left the European Union.

Working alongside the British Embassy in Portugal and in partnership with the High Commission for Migration (ACM), IOM is raising awareness among UK Nationals living in Portugal, sharing information on residency requirements, and providing direct casework support to complete applications for those who struggle accessing application processes and information themselves.

While information provided online and through other media is available to everyone, IOM provides targeted assistance to individuals who may be particularly at-risk or facing specific challenges, such as elderly, people with limited mobility, people living with different disabilities, or chronic illness, people who face language or literacy barriers, or barriers in accessing technology.
