Onyria Palmares was the venue and Alvor/Lagos the combination for the Atlantic Golf Society’s last major tournament.
Although one of the best courses in the Algarve, it is not renowned for low scoring; however, this year was the exception with the best performance coming from Nigel Doyle with 40 stableford points.
In second place with 39 points was Ann Campbell and third and fourth places were Lady O’Grady and Chris Dale with 38 and 37 points, respectively.
Nearest-the-pin winners were Eileen Farran, Helena Burke, Paul Thorne and a special mention for Charles Hopkins with a hole-in-one on the second hole!
