Live music, dance performances, local food and wine, and even relaxing massages are some of the ingredients for a perfect sunset to be enjoyed…inside a castle! Sunset Secrets are returning to Silves castle this Thursday (June 27) and will be held every Thursday until August 1.
These events have become a summertime classic in Silves.
Each party features a special musical guest, with the Algarve Jazz Orchestra being the opening act.
Ricardo Martins and Sara Gonçalves will bring Portugal’s traditional Fado music to the castle on July 4, while Deep:her will be performing their eclectic mix of indie and trip hop on July 11.
Other musical guests include Nanook Plays the Blues (July 18), Daniel Kemish (July 25) and SENZA (August 1).
The parties also feature gastronomic demonstrations that shine the spotlight on local products such as Silves’ famously juicy oranges and wines. Visitors can also enjoy relaxing massages and dance performances by Mónica Pereira.
Tickets cost €5 for the general public and €2 for Silves residents. Admission is free for children under 10.
