With the publication of CIE and Pearson Edexcel international examinations results, students at Vale Verde International School (VVIS) in Burgau have much to celebrate.
Deputy Head Boy Ryan Bergin will be returning to Ireland to study for a degree in Languages and International Business in Dublin whilst special congratulations also go to Jiayi Lyu, who scored 3 A’s and a B in her AS Maths and Science subjects in addition to passing ABRSM Grade 8 on the piano with Merit.
Amongst those who also achieved impressive AS results in a broad variety of subjects were Adriana Catron do Valle and Jiry van Nieuwburg who, in addition to his AS subjects, managed to gain full A levels in IT and Business Studies in just one year.
The Cambridge IGCSE results continued to reveal strong performances, indicative of the hard work and academic skills portrayed by the Year 11 students.
Ben Raeves gained 6 A*’s and 4 A’s in all his 10 subjects and was awarded the multi-range achievement certificate (ICE) with Distinction, along with fellow students Conor Tait, Ines Saintemarie and Sem van Nieuwburg. Also awarded the ICE certificate with Merit were Luca Joksimovic-Dahlmann and Ruby Lucas-Pedigrew.
The IGCSE Cambridge International Exam pass rate was once again 100% with 48% scoring A*/A, 80% achieving A*- B and 91% of students being awarded A*-C.
The administration and staff wish to congratulate all the candidates and wish them all future success.
