Summer fun for Apatris children

Children from the Apatris institution in Faro were joined by ACCA representatives, a charity which supports underprivileged children and their families in the Algarve, on a day trip to AquaShow Family Park near Vilamoura.

The visit was part of a programme of summer activities funded by ACCA for the Apatris residents, who suffer from Down syndrome. Other trips funded by ACCA have included visits to the beach, Zoomarine and museums.

Wanda Crawford from ACCA told the Algarve Resident: “It was so lovely to be with the children because they have such an appreciation for the little treasures in life like swimming, dancing, singing and laughter.”
