Summer floods have left at least 11 people needing re-housing in the areas of Setúbal and Barreiro. Extraordinary as it sounds, intense rain on Monday flooded two apartment buildings in both towns, in both cases affecting the upper storeys. Families needing re-housing have been helped by social services and relatives. In the case of the flood in Barreiro, six people had to be removed from a top floor.
