Portugal is expecting an especially hot summer this year.
According to forecasts from the national sea and atmosphere institute (IPMA), temperatures are set to be between “0.2ºC and 0.5ºC higher than usual”.
Indeed, maximum temperatures this week are likely to reach 32ºC in the Algarve and 35ºC in the Alentejo.
