Students from the Vale Verde International School have been celebrating their successes in AS/A level and IGCSE examinations after the results were published by the University of Cambridge International Examinations Board.
Some students gained exceptional results at IGCSE level, including Katie Hall who gained three A* and three A grades among the nine subjects she took and Jack Luttrell with one A* and two A grades out of his nine subjects.
Both students were also awarded the Cambridge International Certificate of Education in recognition of performing well in a prescribed broad and balanced range of subjects.
Other students who did well included Alexandra Wells, who completed nine subjects with merit, Amy Wolstenholm with 10 subjects with merit and India Harris with seven subjects while Ellie Drummey was awarded passes in seven subjects.
Meanwhile, the AS/A level examination results were also very positive for Emilië Bragginton who scored a A in AS English Language while Hollie Blades also shone in her results, especially at A level Portuguese.
“Her level of success in A level Portuguese is all the more remarkable given that she only joined the Vale Verde International School recently, arriving from London at the beginning of Year 10, without knowing a word of the language,” said Roger Foreman, the assistant director at the Vale Verde International School.
Hollie Blades will now be going to Leicester University to study a combined honours course in French and English.
