The Casa do Povo at Moncarapacho had barely a seat to spare when The Strings and Things Showband entertained and delighted a full house of over 100 people last month.
Attired in their trademark show gear, the talented singers and enthusiastic musicians built up a lively response from the audience with songs and dance numbers spanning the last few decades. The Valentine’s Show, in aid of The Salvation Army and local worthy causes, raised €1,000.
Howard Scott-Parkin, the leader of the showband, thanked all those who contributed so generously.
