A STRIKE planned by staff at baggage-handling company Groundforce for February 14 to 18 has been cancelled.
This follows the cancellation on Saturday (February 2) of another workers’ protest due to be held over the carnival weekend.
The workers, members of the Sindicato dos Trabalhadores de Handling e Aeroportos (STHA) union, are in dispute at present over working conditions and alleged missed promises from TAP, the Portuguese airline.
The latest cancellation was ordered by the STHA after meetings with the Secretary of State for the Construction and Communications on Thursday and with MP members from the different parties after the weekend.
