It’s the second time this “Heat the Street” campaign has brought festive warmth for those living on Lisbon’s streets, and it will be taking place this year on Friday December 22.
A 300-metre stretch of community washing line will be set up on Avenida da Liberdade, between the Hard Rock café and Rua das Pretas, inviting people to turn out and hang warm clothes they may not need any longer.
Coats, jackets, trousers, blankets and even scarves are welcomed, any sizes (even children).
The open wardrobe will be going up at 5pm and run till 11pm.
Anything not removed by the time the line goes down will be collected and donated to the CRESCER association which supports families and people in need.
