Street food, music and handicraft at Boliqueime Food Festival

The successful formula of delicious street food, live music and handicraft is being repeated for another edition of the Boliqueime Food Festival, which will take place between Friday, July 28 and Sunday, July 30.

The event is held at the square near the local fairground and has become a popular summer attraction for the village.

As its name suggests, the highlights of the festival are the multiple food trucks which will be serving mouthwatering dishes from all over the world, as well as sweets and pastries.

There will also be several handicraft stalls as well as a musical line-up featuring local acts.

Maritenda All Stars and La Plante Mutante will take the stage on the opening night, while the Algarve Grupo de Percussão and Opera Rocks will be providing musical entertainment on the second night, with DJ Beecuts due to perform on both. 33LM and iconic Algarve band Iris will bring the event to a close on July 30.

The event will be free to visit, with opening hours running from 7.30pm to 2am. It is organised by Boliqueime parish council with the support of Loulé council.
