The growing trend for street food is returning to Lagos this month for the second Lagos Food Fest, to be held on the weekend of July 15-17 between midday and midnight.
Around 30 food wagons are expected to converge on the town’s Jardim da Constituição, offering everything from hamburgers and pizzas to tacos, typical Portuguese ‘prego’ steak sandwiches, healthy biological food – basically, anything that can be easily eaten without sitting down and needing a knife and fork.
There will also be cocktails, fresh juices and ice-creams, as well as showcooking demonstrations and entertainment provided by DJs.
Last year, the event attracted 18,000 people and hopes this year are for even more. Admission is free.
