Storks move in
The secluded Algarvean village of São Marcos da Serra has two new special homes thanks to the local parish (Junta de Freguesia). Two redundant concrete lighting posts have been erected, complete with platforms to allow storks to build a nest. Placed next to the river, it is hoped that they will also provide a free takeaway of delicious frogs and fish!
