SCORPIONS ARE coming back to Portugal for two shows, one at Pavilhão Atlântico in Lisbon (December 4) and the other at Pavilhão Multiusos in Guimarães (December 6).

They are a hard rock/heavy metal band from Sarstedt near Hanover, Germany, best known for their 1980s rock anthem Rock You Like a Hurricane and their singles Wind of Change, No One Like You, Still Loving You and Send Me an Angel. The band has sold over 75 million album copies all over the world.

Loyal to their slogan ‘Do not stop at the top’, Scorpions show up again with a worldwide tour, the Humanity World Tour. After hugely successful concerts in England, France, Brazil, Canada, the United States and Asia, among other countries, the tour finally reaches Portugal.

Lead singer, Klaus Meine, says that they get everything that a hard-rock band can only dream about. They have played at the best festivals in the world and have conquered America.

For them there is nothing more fascinating than a new challenge, adding more milestones to the history of the band.

The mighty shows of Scorpions have been among the quickest to sell out in the United States, Canada and Europe, over the last couple of decades. They are a band that vibrates in front of their fans and the venue explodes into action when they take to the stage.

In May 2007, they released Humanity – Hour I in Europe. The album became available in the United States in August 2007 by New Door Records, entering the billboard charts at number 63.

Scorpions’ new songs match very well with their classics. A whole new audience joins longtime fans and all are gathered for the same purpose. It is amazing and surprising how a band born in 1972 continues to rock their songs with such energy and have an enormous number of fans all over the world that are always delighted to see their shows. If you are one, don’t miss them!
