This weekend, do not miss the Medieval Days festival, taking place in Castro Marim! Held inside the castle walls, there will be a great deal of theatrics to keep everyone entertained.

The festival, which ends on Sunday (August 27), is one of the few places where you will have the opportunity to mingle with dames and horsemen dressed up in period costume. Some of the most gruesome torture weapons of the medieval era will also be on display.

You will also be able to exchange your money into authentic medieval currency, so you can do some shopping and buy crafts from the wide selection that will be available.

Entry is free to children under the age of five years, for children five to 12 years entry is 2.50 euros and adults pay five euros entry. The Medieval Days festival begins at 5pm and continues until late.
