Steakhouse opens in Quinta do Lago

Bovino Steakhouse, a new restaurant for meat-lovers, opened in Quinta do Lago on July 9.

Located by the lake at roundabout 6, the restaurant occupies what was the first house in the area, an agricultural farm in its former life.

A contrast between traditional and modern, the décor was conceived by Spanish interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Viólan, who incorporated typically Portuguese materials such as azulejo tiles and Portuguese calçada cobblestones.

At the helm of the kitchen is Belgian chef Gilles Dumont, a debutant in Portugal who came from the London restaurant Maze Grill, belonging to the famous British chef Gordon Ramsay. The menu features generous meat options and the steaks are imported directly from Ireland and aged for 28 days.

The restaurant, with a seating capacity of 386, also has a terrace and garden with olive trees, and a pool bar with views of the lake.
