State to pay out €48.4 million over winter floods

Over eight months since the unbelievable damages caused, the Portuguese State has announced it will contribute €48.4 million to the replacement of infrastructure and equipment destroyed in 92 municipalities by the floods of December 2022 and January 2023. In a note, the office of Minister for territorial cohesion Ana Abrunhosa informed that in total applications from 92 municipalities were validated: 50 in the North region, 14 in the Centre, 14 in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley region and 14 in Alentejo.
