Sociedade Polis – the government organisation better known for Ria Formosa island demolitions – has announced an €8.5 million investment to build a new bridge to Faro island and a pier in Tavira, and carry out renovations on Culatra, Praia do Ancão and the 5 de Outubro avenue in Olhão. The state will pitch in with €4.6 million, while the rest will be covered by Faro, Olhão, Tavira, Loulé and fishing authority Docapesca.
