Portugal’s 2022 State Budget has been submitted to Brussels for approval, even though it hasn’t been approved yet by parliament or President Marcelo. The 39-page document was submitted in English in time for the ‘country specific recommendations’ which Brussels will be adopting in May, writes Lusa. Meantime, the parliamentary debate on a budget in which growth and deficit forecasts have been challenged (see brief to come) comes next week, on April 28 and 29, with a final vote scheduled for May 27.
