State Budget 2017: a box full of surprises

A business breakfast to discuss the 2017 State Budget will be held on Friday, February 24 at the Quinta dos Vales wine estate in Estombar, at 8.15am.

Under the title “State Budget 2017: a box full of surprises”, the business breakfast event is organised by the British-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the Dutch-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and the French-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The 2017 State Budget brought a considerable number of changes to the main taxes in Portugal, with particular focus on the indirect and real estate taxation. The purpose of this session is to explore those changes and allow participants to have a general overview of the most relevant changes.

The session will thus allow Chamber members ample time to discuss any questions they might have on the subject, but also to share their experiences and learn from each other. There will also be time during and after the session for our members to network and engage with the speakers on matters of interest!
After the business breakfast, Quinta dos Vales will provide a guided tour of their wine cellar.

Speakers from the PwC team are Leendert Verschoor, Luís Filipe Sousa, Diogo Gonçalves Pires and Luís Filipe Maciel who are tax consultants in corporate income tax, personal income tax/social security, real estate taxes and value added tax. They will be presenting the main changes introduced by the 2017 State Budget.

Cost is €10 for Chamber members and €15 for non-members. This cost is for the buffet-style breakfast and will be paid on the day directly to Quinta dos Vales.
