Dear Editor,
No, no, no … 1,000 times no. There are lots of great Portuguese coffee shops here doing very nicely, thank you. We do not want an American invasion – McDonalds is bad enough. We have all come to Portugal because it is unique … the difference is palpable and we all love it. Quirky and in some ways old-fashioned but it is Portugal and that is why we live here. Stay away American businesses, please, and let us live our own Portuguese way.
