Star chefs prepare special dinners at Vistas restaurant

Ten internationally acclaimed chefs, who together boast 14 Michelin stars, are joining forces for the ‘Stars, Food and Wine’ event taking place at Restaurante Vistas within the Monte Rei resort in Vila Nova de Cacela between Sunday, July 14 and Wednesday, July 17.

Chefs include Germany’s Thomas Bühner who has three Michelin stars as well as a long-list of chefs with two stars such as Henrique Sá Pessoa from Almancil’s Alma restaurant, Ricardo Costa from The Yeatman, Herve Deville from Momo and Sketch in the UK, Christophe Hardiquest from Bon Bon in Belgium and Edwin Vinke from De Kromme Watergang in the Netherlands.

The list also features chefs Vitor Sobral (Restaurante Tasca da Esquina, Lisbon), Joe Barza (Celebrity Chef, Lebanon), one-Michelin star Rui Paula (Restaurante Casa de Chá da Boa Nova, Leça da Palmeira) and resident chef Rui Silvestre (Restaurante Vistas).

“This dinner event is dedicated to creating the perfect harmony between internationally-renowned chefs, their art on the plate and the enjoyment of fine dining,” the resort says.

It adds: “Each chef will prepare one of their signature dishes over the course of the first three evenings, culminating in a closing dinner with all chefs presenting from their individual cooking stations.”

Guests should make their reservations by contacting the Monte Rei reservations department. Price is €195 per person for the first three nights and €170 for the last.
