Stamp appeal launched

An appeal has been launched by St Andrew’s Church in Lisbon to collect used stamps that will be forwarded to the Church of Scotland World Mission Council, based in Edinburgh (UK), in order to support ongoing work in some of the poorest parts of the world.

At the launch of the appeal in Lisbon, minister Graham McGeoch encouraged other individuals and groups in the British and international community in Portugal to get involved.

“We all receive letters every day. By simply cutting off the stamp and sending it to St Andrew’s Church, we all have a chance to make a difference in our world,” he said.

The stamp appeal will be run by St Andrew’s Church of Scotland in Lisbon throughout 2010. If you would like to get involved, then please send your used stamps to St Andrew’s Church of Scotland, Rua Arriaga 13, 1200-608, Lisbon.
