Stage School doors open

STAGE SCHOOL has reopened its doors after a four week summer break. Existing pupils arrived for class recently to meet with children wanting to join up for the new term. Ages range from three to 17 and there are options for students to receive tuition in theatre, dance, singing and drama.

The school week begins at Hotel Garbe in Armação de Pêra with children’s dance and drama from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Tuesday’s successful show dance and performing classes in Hotel Onda Mar, from 6pm to 7pm, is a unique class for students who want to go that step further and perform for an audience.

Adults get their boogie shoes on Tuesdays, too, for Pilates and fun dance fitness from 7pm to 8pm at Hotel Onda Mar.

Gymnastics is another favourite for the pupils on Wednesdays from 5pm to 6pm at Montechoro. Ballet classes for three to six year olds, including musical movement, are on Thursdays from 5pm to 6pm at Hotel Onda Mar, and for those street dance enthusiasts, there are classes on Saturdays from 1pm to 2pm.

Stage School prides itself on the workshops available for students on Saturdays, which include dance, drama and singing. For six to 11 years olds, classes are from 10am to 11.30am, and then 12 to 17 years from 11.30am to 1pm. Stage School founders are pleased to announce that the workshops are almost full, with only a handful of places left. All Saturday classes are at Hotel Onda Mar.

Private lessons are available this year for students who want to grow in the entertainment world.
