A concert in aid of St Vincent’s Chaplaincy and its charities will be performed by Coro dos Amigos from São Brás de Alportel Museum at St Luke’s Church at Monte de Palhagueira, near Gorjões, north of Santa Bárbara de Nexe, on October 15 at 7.30pm.
The Coro dos Amigos, conducted by Walter Sulzer, will perform varied period and Baroque pieces, ranging from early English songs by Dowland, through works by Purcell and Haydn, and even some Portuguese songs of the period.
Fr Bob Bates, the Chaplain at St Luke’s, told the Algarve Resident: “We are delighted that our friends, the Coro dos Amigos, are to be with us in song and music. The programme has something for everyone and we look forward to welcoming a full house for the evening.”
Tickets cost 10 Euros per person and include refreshments.
