A St Patrick’s Day dinner and dance is being held at the Tivoli Hotel in Carvoeiro on March 15 at 6.30pm.
There will be a demonstration of Irish dancing by the Irish Dance Troupe as well as a “hop-up” where the dancers will teach a few steps to those brave enough to give it a go.
Guest of honour will be Algarve journalist and author, Len Port, who has volunteered to join the musician Ian Dee to sing a few Irish songs.
Tickets, at €30 for members and €32.50 for non-members, include a three-course buffet and drinks.
The event is organised by the St Patrick’s Society of the Algarve.
