THE CHRISTMAS season is upon us again and St Mary’s Church, in the heart of São Pedro do Estoril, was transformed into a Christmas present shoppers’ paradise recently.
Over 150 people visited St Mary’s bazaar and there was definitely something for everyone. There were stalls selling mouthwatering waffles cooked by the two intrepid Waffle Queens, a huge selection of cakes and pastries, and, of course, Father Christmas was on hand to offer everyone mulled wine – he certainly got everyone into the Christmas spirit.

Thanks to the generous donations and the large number of volunteer helpers, under the direction of the Chairperson Rosina Espírito Santo, the bazaar raised in excess of 10,000 euros, which will go to local charities to help make life better for those in need.
