Portimão will be celebrating St Martin’s Day from today (Friday) until November 13 during its annual fair at the Parque de Feiras e Exposições.
The fair has taken place every year since 1662 and is considered the most ancient and popular event in the city.
Visitors to the 349th St Martin’s Fair will have the chance to browse through various stalls selling clothes, shoes, household items and toys at bargain prices, purchase the traditional coal-roasted chestnuts as well as enjoy all the fun of the fair thrill rides.
For the second consecutive year, on one day only, November 8, all rides will cost €1 (average price per ride is €2).
The fair is open from Sunday to Thursday from 3pm to 11pm and on Fridays and Saturdays from 3pm to midnight.
