Members of the St. Andrew’s Society of the Algarve held their annual beetle drive on October 8 in the clubhouse of Vale do Milho Golf in Carvoeiro.
Around 40 members and guests of the society also enjoyed a meal and then a raffle to raise money for the NECI centre for disadvantaged children in Luz.
The next event for the society will be the Saint Andrew’s Ball on November 26 at Le Meridien Penina with ceilidh band Sounds of Islay travelling from Scotland for the event, while piper Malcolm McGillivray will also be playing during the evening.
Tickets to the ball cost €37.50 for members and €40 for guests and can be ordered from Cathy Prentice by calling 919 635 246.
