Moncarapacho’s Centre Algarve, a fully equipped specialist holiday centre which caters solely for people with special needs, has a strong link with Premier League title contenders Tottenham Hotspur and last week the Spurs Legends including 1978 FIFA World Cup winner Ossie Ardiles played the Quinta do Vale, Castro Marim and Monte Rei golf courses to help raise funds.
The presentation dinner at the Montei Rei Golf & Country Club raised €8,900 including €4,600 from an auction and raffle.
The Graham Roberts Centre Algarve Challenge Cup went to team winners Jack Parkhouse, Peter Hay and Sam Inkersole whilst Mark Abbas won the individual trophy.
The Legends and sponsors took time-out to play six-a-side Walking Football against the Soccer Olhanense Strollers.
The Strollers were led by Brian Kilcline who captained the Coventry City team to Cup Final glory in 1987 against Tottenham Hotspur, including the incomparable Ossie Ardiles. C.W.
