TAVIRA’S CITY centre will be celebrating culture, tradition and innovation from April 27 to April 29, when the Câmara and the Associação In Loco unite to hold the ninth annual Spring Mountain Fair.
The fair will exhibit diverse activities, handicraft and traditional produce from the Caldeirão mountain region, Tavira and other parts of the country. Visitors will be able to view, taste and buy the best of what local handicraft production has to offer.
In total, 150 exhibitors will be in attendance, showcasing goods including wickerware, ceramics, leather, jewellery, stained glass, liqueurs, wines, regional sweets, cheese, organic by-products and medicinal plants.
A range of children’s activities, including body painting, music and storytelling, will ensure kids are kept entertained while parents shop around. In the evenings, concerts will be held promoting young artists. The fair opens on Friday April 27 at 6pm.
