The Rally of Portugal featuring several former world champions kicks off what promises to be a great month of top class sport in the Algarve. Week two sees the Skoda Algarve half-marathon in Vilamoura with the participation of many of the world’s top distance runners. Between April 14 and 17, the focus switches to the Sotavento region, where 500 gymnasts will gather to compete in the “Portuguese Gymnastrada” held in Marim, Olhão, Tavira, São Brás de Alportel and Vila Real de Santo António.Last but not least, Portimão will host the annual renewal of the first stage of the F1 World Powerboat Championships, an event that attracts teams and fans from all over the world.
