Two events in aid of Algarve children’s charity ACCAKIDS took place in June as part of a worldwide corporate charity day and collectively raised around €5,000.
On June 15, a ‘Spinathon’ took place at the Hilton Vilamoura and a ‘Dance-a-thon’ was held at the Conrad Algarve in Quinta do Lago.
Earlier this year a bike ride had also raised €5,000 in aid of the charity.
Wanda Crawford, president of ACCAKIDS, said: “I wish to commend Hilton Vilamoura, Conrad Algarve and all other sponsors for enthusiastically collaborating in the ‘Around the World in a Day’ initiative in aid of ACCAKIDS. “I saw a great concentration of volunteers from both hotels in an effort toensure that we would collectively accumulate the most kilometres possible during the events.”
Throughout the year, ACCAKIDS works in partnership with various local companies and organisations to help raise funds for Algarve children in need.
