RELATIVES OF Grenville Martin John Beckett, well known Algarve resident who sadly passed away on Sunday May 22 (read obituary by Len Port in last week’s edition of The Resident), would like to thank the more than 150 people who attended the moving send-off ceremony held last Friday, May 27 in Silves. Some of Grenville’s friends in the biking community even travelled from as far afield as Gibraltar to pay their respects to Grenville’s family. Special thanks also to those who kindly donated money for the Silves Bombeiros, a gesture Grenville would have undoubtedly supported, as the local heroes saved his house from being burnt down during the summer fires.
