All the signs indicate that young Portuguese managerial sensation Andre Villas-Boas will follow in the seven-year-old footsteps of his mentor José Mourinho.

The former Academica coach, 33, was crowned champion with Porto while remaining unbeaten during his first season in charge as well as securing the Europa League and Portuguese Cup silverware.

He now looks likely to make the switch to Chelsea who are prepared to pay the €15 million required to release him from his contract.

It would be no surprise to see the new ‘Special One’ take stars such as Falcão, João Moutinho and Hulk with him to Stamford Bridge.
