Chocolate makers Cadbury create a special chocolate bar especially for the Queen each year, it has been claimed.
The secret recipe is unknown but it is believed to be made of dark chocolate with a high percentage of cocoa solids.
The chocolate is wrapped in gold foil with a red wrapper bearing the royal crest and reads “By Appointment to HM the Queen.”
Known as the “Royal Household chocolate” by the staff at Cadbury, it is also suitable to be used for cooking.
In September, the US company Kraft Foods indicated that it was planning a hostile takeover bid of Cadbury, estimated at £10 billion.
