Special award for Mourinho

A century of wins for Chelsea under the stewardship of José Mourinho has been recognised by the Football Writers’ Association. At their annual gala dinner at London’s Savoy Hotel the charismatic boss became the 15th Premier League manager to join the ‘100 club’ which he achieved in only 142 games.
José Mourinho, who has never hidden his desire to return to Chelsea, said: “I sat down with my wife and family to decide the best place for us? Where can we be happiest as a family? To be happy as a manager and enjoy more of the family and have a good social life?”
He added: “We decided England and for the situation to be perfect it would be Chelsea and I was lucky because the door was open for me.”
Mourinho, who was born in Setúbal, learnt his managerial skills at Sporting Lisbon and Barcelona before going on to great success at FC Porto where he won the UEFA Champions League before repeating the feat with Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid. A remarkable record that the 51 year-old will no doubt build on in the years to come…
